Salisbury will begin digging out of the biggest winter storm we have seen in some time today. Windy weather will continue as utility workers deal with power outages and downed trees across Delmarva.
One of the two weather stations that are maintained by Salisbury Weather for reporting to this blog has been offline since before 8 PM on Sunday. The other is functioning sporadically while waiting for internet services to be restored.
Here is the last graph of barometric pressure that we were able to capture prior to 8 PM last night which shows the dramatic steady drop in pressure that lead to the bombogenesis offshore.
Barometric pressure at 5:30 AM is 29.637 and still falling.
Schools are closed across Delmarva today and residents are being advised to stay off the roads.
A hard freeze is expected overnight which will likely play havoc with the Tuesday morning commute.
