The unusual July jet stream wind pattern is contributing to the unsettled weather we are experiencing. A predominately southern wind flow causes any storms that form to “train” over the same area. Expect that to continue into tomorrow and perhaps Thursday as well.
The greatest threat for thunderstorms is this morning. They will be more scattered in the afternoon and evening. Expect this unsettled pattern to continue for the week with periods of heavy rainfall.
