Cold Friday leads to a bitterly cold Saturday

Cold temperatures under a mix of sun and clouds may even feature a few flurries over the next day or so. Today’s high is expected to reach 37 degrees. Do not be surprised if there are a few widespread snow showers this afternoon and evening.

Bitter Arctic air will infiltrate Delmarva on Saturday with very windy conditions and temps only reaching about 27 degrees. Again, a few flurries or snow showers could be around.

Sunday is expected to be cold with temps near 26 degrees. Dangerously low wind chill readings in the single digits are expected by Monday morning.

The well below average temperatures seem like they will never cease. The last time Salisbury experienced a day above normal was on the 23rd of January when we reached 51 degrees.

That spell may well exceed two weeks before it ends. As things stand now, the long range outlook allows for a bit of a warming trend by Wednesday of this coming week.
