February 28, 2026 exceeded all expectations when the afternoon high temperature reached 67 degrees under sunny skies in Salisbury. It was clearly the warmest day of February as it topped the previous monthly high of 57 degrees on the 18th by a whopping 10 degrees.

Now that we’re all excited to see what March has to offer we will be greeted with a backdoor cold front that drops our afternoon highs back down into the low 50’s. Bring back February!

Today’s cloud cover is a signal that things are about to change. Monday will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s that will lead to a chance of showers by daybreak on Tuesday that could begin as some freezing rain. Showers are then expected throughout the day on Tuesday with temps remaining in the low 40’s.

Remain patient because March, known for its historical ups and downs, will be bringing us days in the 70’s before next weekend.
