Many of us may not remember what a typical mid-December is supposed to be like on the Delmarva Peninsula. Half way through the month we have experienced nothing but well below average temperatures and even two bouts of light snow, a rare December occurrence indeed.

Today will bring one last day with temps below normal under mostly sunny skies, before a welcomed thaw takes place. We are expecting a high of 42 degrees today and then…52 degrees on Wednesday and 60 degrees on Thursday.

The dry weather will remain until showers arrive late Thursday and into Friday morning. Friday’s temperatures should reach about 57 degrees.

The change in the weather pattern likely squelches any hopes of a white Christmas in Salisbury.
