The calendar reads August 1st, but the thermometer reads like early autumn, as tempertures today will only reach the mid 70’s. The drastic drop in temps, coupled with very low dew point readings, will likely present a pleasant change of pace for folks on Delmarva that are fed up with our persistent heat wave.

Yesterday’s late heavy rain brought the monthly rainfall for July in Salisbury to 6.63 inches. That exceeds the 6.10 inches of rainfall in March making July the wettest month of the year thus far.
