
Periodic rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the next few days. Some isolated areas may be inundated with rainfall as these slow moving storms develop. As much as 3 inches of rain per hour is possible in certain cells.
Yesterday was truly oppressive in Salisbury as the early afternoon dew point reached 82 on what became a 96 degree afternoon. Some areas on Delmarva received copious amounts of rain during late day thunderstorms. As of this morning the SBTWX.blog weather station has only recorded .19 of an inch.
Today’s high temperature is expected to reach near 90 degrees. The unsettled pattern will continue tomorrow, but temps will cool to the mid 80’s.
