Things are about to change on Delmarva as clouds roll in today courtesy of the low pressure system off of the Carolina coast. The storm with tropical characteristics could be named Helene shortly.
As the low pressure moves inland chances of steady rain will increase on Tuesday and chances of showers may continue for several days as a strong easterly flow of air comes in from the ocean.
Potential Tropical Cyclone #Eight will have limited time to develop before it moves over land.
However the system will still bring gusty winds, heavy rain, and likely some flash & coastal flooding to parts of the southeast U.S. and Mid-Atlantic coast in the coming days 🌧️ #PTC8 pic.twitter.com/OFHpphTDh6
