Gotta Love Delmarva

There is no way to claim that folks on Delmarva are never prepared!

The SBYWX.Blog weather station failed to reach one inch of snow for the 717th consecutive day. The NWS is still awaiting the official reading from the Salisbury-Wicomico Regional Airport.

The low pressure system that brought light snow to the area yesterday is sitting tight off of the coast and will continue to provide some shower activity and perhaps some freezing drizzle to areas across the Eastern Shore this morning. Showers may redevelop for a short period this afternoon.

After a late morning reading near 40 degrees temperatures will steadily fall into the low 30’s this afternoon before dropping down to near 18 degrees overnight. This will bring a harsh reminder that the arctic air that has troubled much of the nation has finally reached Delmarva.

Brilliant sunshine will return on Wednesday but high temperatures will just barely top the freezing mark. We are expecting a high near 34 degrees.

Partly cloudy weather that is a bit milder will return on Thursday before an overnight chance for more light snow will occur.
