Yesterday, the last day of May, was the hottest day of the year.
Today may not be as hot as yesterday’s 95 degrees, but it will be quite warm for the first day of June as temps reach around 90 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The backdoor cold front that is inching its way southward will not arrive for at least another day.
Tomorrow should bring a great chance of late day thunderstorms after the area again reaches near 90 degrees.
The passing of the line of expected storms should lead to a refreshing cool down for Friday.
