Precipitation in Salisbury, having been rain today, has now turned to snow.
The National Weather Service has indicated that Salisbury and areas south can still expect to pickup accumulations of snow between tonight and Saturday morning as indicated in the posted graphic above.
This blogger is going with the “under” on the totals and wishes to point out that the Winter Storm Watches and Warnings that have been issued come no further north than the Eastern Shore of Virginia, however the past few days of watching the storm have been so back and forth that it is apparent that nobody really knows at this point. We’re just pointing out our best “educated” guesses.
This is fairly certain, though. With the falling temperatures into the low 20’s overnight any snow that does accumulate is likely to present hazardous road conditions in the morning.
In addition to the cold temperatures Delmarva will be faced with single digit wind chill factors on Friday when temps top out in the upper 20’s. It’ll be a good day to stay in.
