I appreciate the accuracy of a weather forecast, but I do not approve of placing an adult in harm’s way just to get ratings on Sunday morning television.
Hurricane Ida came ashore yesterday afternoon in Louisiana and is still maintaining hurricane force winds this morning. Some areas have already received a foot of rain and a million people are already without power. Damage really cannot be assessed until the sun rises.
#BREAKING, #Ida is now a tropical storm but AccuWeather forecasters say to not be lulled into complacency by the designation as dangerous impacts persist: https://t.co/PfOGL4IAi4 pic.twitter.com/AtIMJMNYbL

Salisbury will return to heat and humidity with scattered showers and thunderstorms both today and tomorrow. High temperatures should reach the upper 80’s to near 90 degrees.
Wednesday may well bring the remains of Ida our way. It is too soon to say with certainty.
