Morning snow showers will gradually give way to clearing skies today. If you’re driving this morning be extremely careful as black ice and snow covered roads will make your travels difficult.
Many schools made the right call, I think, by canceling classes today. I know, however, that there are many other people not associated with schools who need to drive to work today. Please be extremely careful by leaving extra distance between you and the car ahead of you. And for goodness sake…put down the phone!
I picked up an additional inch of snow overnight. We will see some melting of the snow now that Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny with temperatures in the low 40’s. Knowing that, we can now turn our attention towards the possibility of another winter storm next weekend. I stress the word “possibility”! There is some sort of system brewing and it is January, so we need to consider that it could happen again.
*NOTE: I appreciate those of you who have sent me many nice and supportive comments over the past few days relating to the information that was posted on this blog. While I do this just as a geeky hobby it is nice to know that there are people who find it useful. I had several hundred visitors to these pages just in the past three days. That is a far cry from the dozen or so people I had reading this nearly a year ago. Thank you very much!
