The first third of January 2020 will feature warmer than average temperatures before the first cold snap occurs.
Note in the above graphic that the temperatures for the month, as a whole, are expected to be above average.
Forecasters believe that after a cool start to February that conditions will moderate towards the end of the month.
All signs point to an early spring even though we’ve yet to hear from the groundhog!
