Freezing rain and drizzle is a distinct possibility, expecially this morning, for Delmarva. Temperatures will slowly rise bringing us rain for the good part of the afternoon. Temps should not escape the 30’s.
At 8 AM this morning the temperature is holding steady at 32 degrees. In fact, it is actually 31.6 degrees. Frozen precip on road surfaces is extremely dangerous. I checked vehicles in my driveway this morning and have found ice accumulating at a decent rate.
The onset of freezing rain can be especially dangerous, as it only looks like light rain is falling, but in fact, a thin layer of ice is forming on pavement and sidewalks. Be especially cautious if you must venture out today. pic.twitter.com/AN6tfQoD3g
