Winter is back today with a cold rain, possibly mixed with some snow this afternoon. High temperatures today should just reach the upper 30’s to near 40 degrees.
Precipitation will rapidly move into the region this AM into early PM. The precipitation will be rain in most areas, however the MD eastern shore is expected to see snow or a rain/snow mix this afternoon. Perhaps a dusting to locally 1" on grassy surfaces. pic.twitter.com/Fdo0pyjadX

Profiles support primarily snow across the MD Eastern Shore late morning to mid-afternoon, before ending as light rain during the late afternoon and evening hours. At best a minimal coating of snow may occur on non-paved and elevated surfaces.
If skies clear early enough we may be able to again view the spectacular alignment of our moon, Jupiter, and Venus, as seen in Salisbury two nights ago just after sunset. In terms of the possibility of early clearing the Eastern Shore may develop areas of fog overnight.
Mostly sunny skies return for Sunday with a high temp near 55 degrees. The days ahead indicate that mostly above normal temperatures can be expected on Delmarva as February ends and we head into the first week of March.
