Showers this morning will give way to the possibility of scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Temperatures should rebound a bit into the low to mid 80’s.

Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast again for tomorrow morning. Temps should again reach the low to mid 80’s.

The current track of Hurricane Idalia has it passing off of the Atlantic Coast just south of Cape Hatteras late in the week, sparing our area from its tropical storm effects.

In the overnight image above Franklin appears off to the east of Florida while Idalia approaches from the southwest. Idalia is the big worry for Florida over the next 24 hours.
