Today will be cloudy with an easterly flow of air off of the ocean. As a result high temperatures are expected to reach the upper 70’s to near 80 degrees. There is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
There will be a better chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight and into Tuesday. Temps on Tuesday should reach the low to mid 80’s with more storms developing late in the day. All in all rainfall could reach over one inch.
Hurricane Franklin is racing away from the East Coast just west of Bermuda but will ensure strong surf and riptides along the East Coast.
We will need to keep an eye on Hurricane Idalia to see if it could possibly affect our weather late in the week.
