Hot and humid start to work week

Heat returns to the Salisbury area today as temperatures reach the low 90’s under partly cloudy skies. The humidity will make for an uncomfortable day.

Temperatures will retreat into the low to mid 80’s over the next few days during an anticipated period of dry weather brought to us by the extraordinary Ring of Fire that also steered Hurricane Hilary into the Southwest United States. Currently no rain is expected on Delmarva until next weekend at the earliest.

In the past 24 hours Tropical Storms Emily, Franklin, and Gert have formed in either the Caribbean or Atlantic Ocean. Harold could be next.

The story is different in the Southwest. California was affected by Tropical Storm Hillary warnings, flash flooding, mudslides, tornadoes, and even a an earthquake.
