The hottest team in Major League Baseball is the Baltimore Orioles. They played their 100th game of the season last night and find themselves with the second best record in all of baseball, giving local baseball fans something to celebrate in this summer of 2023.
Last night’s win against the Phillies came in Philadelphia, where the Orioles won their last World Series in 1983. Now without stars from 40 years ago, like Cal Ripken, Eddie Murray, and Jim Palmer, the Orioles are thrilling a whole new generation of fans this summer.
As fans wait to see whether or not the O’s will return to postseason play the summer wears on. Warmer temperatures will return to Delmarva today with highs reaching the upper 80’s. Their is a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
Near normal temperatures today with scattered afternoon/evening showers and storms developing. A few storms may be strong to severe. A warming trend continues through Fri with heat indices of 100-105+ Thurs-Sat. #vawx #ncwx #mdwx pic.twitter.com/7LpGTfUSgu

Wednesday will arrive with sunny skies and temps near 90 degrees as we begin the first really hot spell of the summer in the Salisbury area. Temps later in the week are expected to easily reach the mid 90’s. Many are expecting their Orioles to maintain their hot pace as well.
