Heat moves in as smoke moves out

Slight changes in prevailing wind patterns will bring the heat our way as it helps to push the smoke and haze away from our area. Temperatures on this first Sunday of July are expected to reach close to 91 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms are likely to develop this afternoon and evening.

Another hot reading should be headed our way again tomorrow along with the typical chances of isolated thunderstorms. Monday’s high is expected to reach 94 degrees, which would easily be the hottest day of 2023 thus far.

The 4th of July observance of Independence Day will continue the first heat wave of 2023 as temps continue to hover in the low 90’s.
