Mostly sunny skies will remain for Thursday and Friday as well with temperatures returning to the mid to upper 80’s as we close out June with pleasant summer conditions.

During the past few weeks of June the Delmarva area has been spared from the oppressive heat that has gripped the nation’s midsection. A large dome of high pressure sitting over the middle of the nation is nearly stationary, placing residents of Texas and surrounding areas right in the middle of the heat and humidity. The jet stream flows up, over, and around the dome of high pressure. This has enabled Salisbury and surrounding areas to keep our early summer temperatures below normal.
Once July arrives it appears as though the high pressure dome will slowly slip to the east. We then can prepare for our share of the summer swelter.
