The Delmarva Peninsula has experienced an extended period of dry weather for many weeks. That is about to end as summer arrives today. The longest day of the year, today, will be wet! The chances for rain and thunderstorms exist for the next three to five days or more. Make sure you pull out your thunder pants!
The thermometer may struggle to reach 70 degrees today with windy conditions and periods of heavy rainfall. Is it really summer?
Temperatures will rebound tomorrow with readings in the upper 70’s. Thunderstorms are likely. They will persist on a scattered basis through the upcoming weekend.
Well to our south the season’s latest tropical storm, Bret, has formed east of the Lesser Antilles. Another system is forming just on its heels to the east, making for an interesting couple of weeks involving tropical storms.
