Today’s temperature forecast will be dialed back a bit since yesterday’s expectation of mid 80’s temperatures did not materialize. You can likely expect temps to reach the upper 70’s today under mostly sunny skies.
If things are not as bright the blame could lie with smoke from Canadian wildfires that is being directed by the wind into our area.
Wildfires still rage in Canada and the synoptic set-up is allowing the smoke to escape into the Eastern US.
Air quality continues to degrade and currently ranges from Moderate (South) to Very Unhealthy (Northeast).

Thursday may bring similar temperatures with a few more clouds in the area. A stray shower can not be ruled out.
A better chance of showers comes around on Friday afternoon when temps will likely reach to around 75 degrees. The average high temperature in Salisbury for early June is 79 degrees.
