The dreary late May weather will soon be behind us as afternoon sunshine will follow some early morning clouds tomorrow. First we will have to get through another cloudy day today where temperatures should reach near 72 degrees on this, the last day of May.
May of 2023 will likely turn out as being the first month of the year that finished with below average temperatures. Coming into today May is averaging 1.4 degrees below normal.
Thursday, the first day of June, and the first day of the Atlantic Hurricane season. appears as though we will experience partly cloudy skies with highs near 80 degrees. It should begin a stretch of warm weather over the next few days into the early part of the weekend.
A disturbance over the Central Gulf of Mexico is our newest "spot to watch" for tropical development.
