This date in the middle of April is historically known as the day Americans must file their taxes, however, this year the date is extended until April 18. What has not changed is that Major League Baseball will commemorate Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier by having every player on every team wear Jackie’s number 42 on their jerseys. It is also the date that bird lovers recommend placing out their hummingbird feeders in order to enjoy their delightful movements around our area.
On tap of all of that, our area is now extremely unlikely to experience another frost or freeze, making it safe to plant tender vegetation.
Temperatures today should reach the upper 70’s with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. Some of us may see none at all. Tomorrow will bring a warm up into the low to mid 80’s under partly sunny skies.
