The sixth single released by the Beatles, “Can’t Buy Me Love”, went to #1 for the first of five weeks on this date in 1964. Paul McCartney was later quoted as saying, “Personally, I think you can put any interpretation you want on anything, but when someone suggests that ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ is about a prostitute, I draw the line. That’s going too far.”
Today, exactly 59 years to the day later, a former US president will apparently be arraigned on charges that he attempted to do just that. Some, like McCartney will draw the line by saying that’s going too far. Others will not. Time will tell.
The weather is never for sale and gets administered justly to all without favor, like we expect our justice system to operate. It will be providing each of us, no matter our thoughts regarding the New York legal proceedings or any other matter, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching about 75 degrees.
Regardless of what happens today, tomorrow is expected to be even warmer as the thermometer soars into the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Now, that is justice for all!
