Skywatchers may get it all today. Morning fog and clouds will be followed by some afternoon sunshine with temperatures eclipsing 80 degrees. A total lunar eclipse will be visible, weather permitting, in much of the US tonight.

A stray shower or thunderstorm is also possible today. A better chance of thunderstorms will exist after midnight.
Monday should be partly cloudy with a good chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. The mercury should climb to the low 80’s.
It now appears that once the storms pass through our area late on Monday that we will be primed for our first truly nice sunny day on Tuesday. We shall all look forward to that!
As far as lunar eclipses go, there will be another in November of this year. After that, however, we will need to wait until 2025.
