SALISBURY WEATHER

Rather nice Tuesday, and then…

Today may well turn out to be the mildest day that we have witnessed in some time as temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 40’s under partly cloudy skies.

Cold air returns on Wednesday and Thursday with highs tomorrow in the low 30’s. Mid to upper 30’s temps are expected on Thursday. Both days will feature abundant sunshine.

Intrigue is developing with regard to the formation of another coastal winter storm this weekend. Residents of Delmarva should keep an eye on updates to the forecast over the next couple of days.

As of this morning both the ECMWF and GFS global weather models are in agreement that this next storm will take a track off the coast as opposed to the inland route taken by the previous one. If that holds than snow would enter the picture for areas along the coast with lesser amounts inland.

With the storm peak approximately 48 hours away here are the three potential scenarios that are of interest.
