The wind and rain from yesterday will be replaced by variably cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 60’s for the weekend. Areas of localized flooding will remain an issue for the next 24 hours and a stray shower is possible.
Tonight, however, due to a strong geomagnetic storm caused by solar flares, it is possible, depending upon the visibility, for residents of Delmarva to get a rare glimpse of the “Northern Lights”.
This isn’t a trick. The sun is about to treat skywatchers to a dazzling display of the Northern Lights this weekend, one of the best opportunities to see the aurora so far in 2021. https://t.co/RAdGt3oPgw
