Muggy March skies with temps in the upper 70’s bring with them a chance of thunderstorms today.
The severe weather threat remains on track for later today. Main threats are damaging winds and large hail, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Remain weather aware, and have multiple ways to receive any issued warnings later today. #vawx #ncwx #mdwx pic.twitter.com/Pp4L1tDr3D

It appears as though there may be two rounds of storms; one this morning and, then after a break, another later in the day. Some storms could be severe especially this afternoon and evening. The severity of storms may very well depend upon the amount of sunshine we see today.

Once the storms pass we will wake up on Monday to sunny skies with a high near 60 degrees.
