Welcome to February. Despite the cold and wintry end to January the first month of 2021 averaged 1.8 degrees above normal. Apparently we can expect things to warm up even more this month.

First, we have to deal with today’s windy rain. Howling winds and falling temperatures, after reaching highs in the mid 40’s, will accompany rain showers on this first day of February.
Salisbury, with its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, will be spared the harsh winter weather that much of the Northeast will experience. While much of Delmarva’s snowfall will have washed away our friends in Baltimore and areas north may be looking at 10 or more inches of snow.
Late today the rain showers will transition to snow showers. The light snow is expected to continue overnight into Tuesday when high temperatures return to the 30’s.
