OK…You know the drill!

It has been a long time coming, but here we go. It is like riding a bike. You never forget.

With the winds subsiding and brilliant sunshine the approaching winter storm appears to be nowhere in sight. Don’t be fooled.

Clouds will be on the increase overnight and snow will develop on Sunday. Temperatures in the 30’s may slowly rise and the snow is likely to mix with rain by late afternoon.

Eastern Wicomico and Worcester County will likely see less snow accumulate. West of Salisbury into Dorchester County will see a larger snowfall. Across the area it looks like we can experience anywhere from 2 to perhaps as much as 5 inches of snow before all areas change over to rain by Monday.

Monday’s rain will have us avoiding a potential mess as areas inland may well experience blizzard conditions. The storm is expected to end with a period of snow for us by Tuesday morning.

Here is the latest run of the ECMWF model for the 24 hour period beginning at 6 AM Sunday morning. I will update with the newest model run this afternoon.
