Temperatures will reach the mid 40’s today under cloudy skies again. This will be followed up with a couple of partly sunny days, but temps are unlikely to budge.
Just four full days into 2021 the Salisbury area is already averaging 7 degrees above normal for the month. The remainder of January is predicted to be warmer than normal. That means that we will need the right combination of moisture and overnight low temps to coincide in order for us to see wintry precipitation.

The first opportunity for some mixed precipitation may come Friday night into Saturday morning. Most weather models are predicting that a storm will likely develop to our south, but they are in disagreement as to whether it will reach our area. We should know more tomorrow.
