Not so calm, not so bright

A 50 degree December day, the day before Christmas Eve, would normally be a time to look forward to a little peace on Earth and goodwill towards one another.

With more than 320,000 Americans dead from COVID-19, and entitled hypocrites (see virus denyers Graham and Rubio below) jumping to the front of the vaccination line, many of us are planning how to right the wrongs of our leadership with $600. By the way, who among those who voted on the stimulus bill took the time to read all 5,593 pages?

All the while, he who refuses to lead sits in the White House with despicable cronies and plans to tarnish the American democracy that has been the envy of the world for almost 250 years. The very fact that these discussions are taking place in the Oval Office borders on sedition. Not so calm, not so bright!

18 U.S.C. 2383
“Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both…”

I, for one, have my eyes set on our nation surviving the unpredictable actions of a narcissistic president over the next 4 weeks.

My eyes are also set on the impending Christmas Eve storm that will bring a likely inch of rainfall and extremely high winds late tomorrow into early Christmas morning. Daytime highs tomorrow in the mid 60’s will take a nosedive overnight. Temps will dip to the low 20’s by Christmas night.
