Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing,
Praise for the morning.—Cat Stevens, 1971
Despite yesterday’s events, and with our personal convictions not withstanding, the sun rises on America this morning.
Red states and blue states comprise our great nation and all of our people live under the same beautiful sky in the same beautiful country. Perhaps when the results of yesterday’s election are known the red and the blue can come together to concentrate on the green. And, I don’t mean green as in the almighty dollar, but green as in that of a healthy planet that can be left to our ancestors.
The sun will shine brightly in the brilliant blue sky on Delmarva today as temperatures approach the upper 60’s to near 70 degrees.
Today ushers in close to a week of above average temperatures as high temps are expected to top out in the 70’s for the next several days. Perhaps this is a sign of brighter days ahead. Perhaps not.
Patience will certainly be tested as a virtue as we await hearing about the direction our great nation is about to take. Will it be the road less taken or the one we have traveled for the past few years? We’ll have to wait. At least it will be warm outside.
This weekend will be great for outdoor projects or yard work across the Midwest and mid-Atlantic with warm and dry conditions on tap : https://t.co/54fuXeHqDl pic.twitter.com/Xq4BPSstgq
