Hurricane Sally, now a tropical depression, is expected to visit our area, perhaps as early as this afternoon. Cloudy skies will dominate the day with a high temperature in the upper 70’s.
Forecast models, as indicated in the graphic above, indicate that Delmarva is on the northern edge of the system. We are expected to get our fair share of rain, especially tonight and into tomorrow morning. Many areas to our south and west will receive rain by the buckets.
#Sally has weakened to a Tropical Depression, but the biggest threat remains the heavy, flooding rains that are expected to fall from central Georgia to southeast Virginia. Heavy rain/gusty winds could lead to falling trees that can bring down power lines, damage homes, etc. pic.twitter.com/IGF2QEgiu9
