Rand Paul vs. Anthony Fauci leads me to Albert Einstein

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky confronted Dr. Anthony Fauci in a Senate committee hearing by declaring Fauci not to be the “end all” when it came to making decisions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic response.  Dr. Fauci didn’t take the bait and responded with great humility.  I smiled and wondered what the learned Albert Einstein might have thought about all of this.

For the uninitiated among us I dug up a few other quotes from Einstein.

  • If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?
  • The thinking that got us to where we are is not the thinking that will get us to where we want to be.
  • The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
  • Weak people revenge. Strong people forgive. Intelligent People Ignore.

I will leave you with this as you ponder the roles that Americans, in general, and government officials, in particular, play in absolving us of the coronavirus pandemic.

The weather forecast, I suppose, is easier for folks to ponder. I expect that temperatures will reach the low 70’s today under partly cloudy skies. The first true warm spell for Delmarva this season begins on Friday when temps will soar into the mid 80’s.
