Two months ago today, March 13, 2020, was a Friday, the 13th. That should have been our first clue.
Salisbury reached 76 degrees on that day in March with showers. That was the last day that any school kid in Maryland actually attended school. Late that day, just 4 days after this tweet, President Trump declared a National Emergency because of the coronavirus.
On March 13 the worldwide death toll from COVID-19 was 5,427. As we wake up this morning the toll has swelled to 292,451….in just 2 months. 5,320 people died just yesterday. More than 82,000 Americans have succumbed in 60 days.
Ponder the happenings of the last two months as you go about your day. Temps are expected to reach the upper 60’s today under mostly sunny skies. We should return to the 70’s tomorrow.
