Admittedly I got carried away yesterday writing about the wisdom of Alexander Pope about 300 years ago and how it related to our times today. I’m so tired of typing that I’ll try sticking to just the weather today. I’m sensing a wave of approval here!
First things first, however. Since I personally view myself to be fair and balanced (so said the fox!) and since I have, in the past, been critical of what I perceive to be a lack of credible leadership from the presidency, I want to commend President Donald Trump for acknowledging the gravity of the COVID-19 crisis in our country at his late afternoon news conference on Monday. Keep up the good work and we can flatten that curve…one day at a time. People will notice if you do. They’ll also notice if you do not.
So much for my promise of brevity!
The second day of April will be a few degrees warmer than the first, with a high temperature in the upper 50’s. Unfortunately, though, we will be experiencing winds that are typical for March. They could gust to as high as 30 to 40 mph.
Seasonably chilly air will stick around across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic through a majority of the week, but a shift in the weather pattern will bring along warmer and drier conditions into the East Coast just in time for the weekend: https://t.co/iqPwIoJldX pic.twitter.com/2bLlp1DfDu

Just so you know, kite flying is permitted under our social distancing restrictions.
