Yes, sometimes we are surprised by the world around us. Could we be surprised with a snow storm any time soon? Well, it would certainly be a surprise this winter. Take a look at yearly snowfall totals throughout the US so far this winter.
If you remember, the half inch of snowfall in Salisbury actually occurred in November, before winter arrived. We will not see snow today either as warm air approaching the upper 50’s will bring us rain.
Yesterday saw a beautiful blue sky become increasingly cloudy and lead to a steady rain that is expected to last through most of the day @SalisburyWx Still, no snow! @NWSWakefieldVA #mdwx pic.twitter.com/RK19ul8VWl

By the time the day ends we could conceivably have recorded above average rainfall in 2020 for its first two months. We only need about a half inch more.
Good morning! It will be (relatively) mild & rainy across the area today. Rainfall amounts will range from 0.40-1.25". In addition, there's a chance of t-storms over SE VA/NE NC (a few of which could be strong/severe this afternoon/evening…main threat is damaging wind gusts). pic.twitter.com/41MLFzmmRq

Tomorrow should be cloudy and cooler with a high near 50 prior to a rapid warm up into the mid 60’s again on Thursday with another chance of rain.
