Hump Day Look at 2020 Thus Far

We’ve gotten past the first full week of 2020 and it is clear that the year is off to a warmer than normal start as the Salisbury area is averaging 6.8 degrees above normal for this time in January.  All of the nasty weather is to our north.

Today will not be a day that bears out that statistic as we will experience some strong winds that will make it feel much more brisk than the mid 40’s.  Tonight will also be the coldest night of the year so far as the mercury dips down into the very low 20’s.

Thursday will be sunny and cold and actually represent our first below average temperature day for 2020.  We’ll top out at around 40 degrees.

By the time Friday rolls around you’ll swear you took a nap and woke up in April.  You’ll be greeted by partly cloudy skies and temps in the low 60’s that will kick off an even warmer weekend.
