The next two days should bring normal January weather to our area with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 40’s. Today could be a bit breezy but winds should subside on Monday.
Hoping for snow and cold air in the East? Good luck.
This warm air might get interrupted briefly in the week ahead, but it's not going far. https://t.co/ks82VF40Ru pic.twitter.com/Az27t7JLVK

The most notable thing about today is that the Earth is closer to the sun than it will be at any point during the year. The fact that we are closer to the sun during the winter implies that the tilt of the earth is more responsible for our temperatures than anything else. The tilt measures 23.5 degrees.
