Our last full day of fall should see the thermometer reach about 41 degrees or so today. That would be 50 degrees cooler than our daytime high of 91 degrees on the first day of fall, September 23 of this year. It should also be cooler than tomorrow, the first day of winter. That is a subtle reminder of the extreme fluctuations we can experience in temperatures throughout a full season.
Saturday should bring us increasingly cloudy skies with temps rising into the low to mid 40’s. That will be followed by a warmer than normal period prior to Christmas thus making it unlikely that we will experience a “White Christmas”.
