While it is certain that the Outer Banks of North Carolina and the Virginia Beach area will be pounded with rain, wind, and coastal erosion I am not personally convinced that our area will receive anything other than wind.
The official forecast calls for a decent chance of rain on Delmarva, but it appears to this observer that the bulk of the precipitation will stay to our south and east. With that said you should not be surprised if you encounter some shower activity or even heavier bands of rain on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and the coastal areas of Worcester County.
The winds should begin to diminish on Monday but the clouds will stick around for most of the day. Once the storm passes the remainder of the work week should bring us more sunshine and temperatures in the 50’s.
The long range forecast hints of the chance for another coastal storm towards the end of next weekend.
