World War I ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of November in 1918. That is why this date has been designated as Veterans Day in the USA.
The Salisbury area should reach 60 degrees by the time 11 AM rolls around as we are headed for a beautiful day this afternoon. In fact, we’ll likely reach at least the mid 60’s, if not a bit higher.
Don’t get too comfortable with the beautiful conditions as we are bracing for a cold front that will zip through the area around the middle of the day on Tuesday. It will bring rain with it and temperatures that will drastically plunge to overnight lows in the 20’s. Some of us may see the rain mix with or even change to snow as the temps plummet. There is no need to worry about an accumulation. This will lead to a sunny and bitterly cold day on Wednesday.
