July will end pretty much the way it began, with low 90’s heat and humidity. If we, in fact, top out at 90 degrees or above, as is expected today, then we will have seen precisely 20 days this month that reached 90 degrees! That represents a really hot month. Last year, for example, Salisbury reached 90 degrees in July just 12 times!
We’ll be heading into August tomorrow with heat continuing. While there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon, there is a better chance tomorrow. In fact, tomorrow will usher in a more unsettled weather pattern where we can expect to see daily chances of scattered thunderstorms through the upcoming weekend and perhaps into next week as well.
It appears as though we may be in the midst of a summer that will continue to bring us record breaking heat. Forecasters are predicting above average temperatures through the month of September. Buckle up!
