Our heat wave reaches day 6 today and is expected to continue throughout the upcoming weekend. Friday highs will reach the upper 90’s while both Saturday and Sunday are now expected to reach 100 degrees.
The outbreak of heat in the midwest and northeast is reaching levels that have not been seen in years. Do not take the heat lightly as it represents the number one weather related cause of fatalities.
At this point in time it appears as though no relief will occur until perhaps late Monday into Tuesday when a notable cool down should occur.
