Or not, depending on your politics.  In my mind the coolest thing about being an American is exercising your right to express your beliefs…no matter what they are.  Bear in mind, though, that both sides of any issue experience the same weather!  That only seems fair, does it not?

I only wish people didn’t resort to insults and name calling when responding to the views of others who clash with one’s view. It seems to happen all the time in politics. For some reason people on opposite ends of the “Coke” versus “Pepsi” battle don’t hurl insults. The Army-Navy football game is a fierce rivalry but neither side insults the other. Same with the “tastes great”/”less filling” conundrum as well. If you’re really old you may remember the VHS versus Betamax debate. Again, things used to be civil.

Yes, Americans are free to be idiots if they so choose. You also have the right to be as dumb as a brick, if you choose. I wish more of us made our choices more consciously and truly understood the power of our actions when seen through the eyes of our youth.

The weather for America’s birthday celebration will include, as many of you might expect, our fair share of hot air; from both Mother Nature and you know who!  Expect temperatures in the low to mid 90’s with a chance of thunderstorms.

Enjoy your independence! And, if I turn out to be wrong in my weather forecast, please don’t call me an idiot. Just tell me I’m wrong!
