This first day of July promises to be the coolest day that we’ve experienced in over a week. The reprieve, however, will be short lived as the heat returns for the first week of the new month.
As we officially head into the last half of 2019 we stand a full 3 degrees above normal through 6 months. The last 5 days of June saw us reach 90 degrees or more each day. That streak may end today.
Under mostly sunny skies today’s temperature will top out in the mid to upper 80’s before skying upward to the low 90’s tomorrow and the mid 90’s again by Wednesday.
The warmth should stick around for several days with the first real chance of a thunderstorm coming on Independence Day.
